This is the new headboard promised to my better half for valentine’s day….finally done. It was pre stained and sealed before gluing due to the two tone aspect. It’s a walnut frame, 1 1/4” and 1 3/4” thicknesses and 5 panels of goncala alves @ 3/4” thick.

I did absolutely no sanding on this piece, I sharpened or replaced all the jointer/planer knives and TS blade. The rest was hand scraped smooth.

My first “newtique” piece.

Wow, those panels sure are pretty!

Really nice job on this.

I’m guessing that better late than never was probably just fine in this situation?

Fantastic! That is a really nice wood combination. The panel wood has a very nice grain. I know your wife really must like it alot.
