Music stand

This is a music stand I made for my son. It is made out of Brazilian cherry and black walnut with brass fittings. The height can be adjusted from 40 to 65 inches. The design heavily utilizes hexagonal shapes and cylinders, most of them the results of gluing carefully shaped pieces. The face board is the most painstaking part of the job – just too many pieces going into it… The center of the face board is a flippable insert that has graphical design inlaid with brass powder and epoxy.

My son loves it!

Lovely detail. A labour of love, for sure.

This is an outstanding music stand. I love the wood and the design.

I love both the design and your execution. I understand why your son is so happy with this!

That is really fantastic. I’ll bet your son is thrilled with it and will cherish it for years.
