You take a log.
Resaw it on the bandsaw.
Rond it, Shape it…..
Sand it and drill holes.
And pick a piece of left over aok floorpanel
Saw it, Shape and Sand it…..
Put it together and…... you have a nice YinYang box.

Nicely done. Just curious as to what type of wood and how dry the log was.

The log is maple .
The kids from school cut down the tree a year ago.
The logs where laying in the barn and were intended for the fireplace.
So I kept them apart. Espacially Maple is very hard to get in Holland.
And very expencive to buy.

Nice box. I like the more organic roundness to go along with the yin-yang motif. I love your projects.

Thanks for the information. I had thought it looked like a maple. Seems a year is a good amount of time to dry, I have a few of those pieces as well.
