Hi all

Carrying on with my current theme. This piece is designed to look aged as if it has been discarded. Based on various Japanese philosophies around the tea ceremony prior to it being made simplistic.

Sycamore 150mm dia x 150mm. Stained, verdigris wax, gold leaf, copper leaf, polymer clay.

Sat on a slate plinth.

Comments welcome. Take care

Mark

I like the balance you acheived in the design. The Top handle is a clever design. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice! The artificial aged patina looks very realistic. The duplication of the top leaf on the gold label really balances the effect…the metalcrafting adds the look of nature to the simplistic asian influence…..I have always admired how pieces based on an asian style can be so beautiful with such simple uncluttered lines.
