I’m onto a new project, making variations on 9-pointed stars. Not sure how far this will take me, but this is the first of my series. I do feel like I’m doing a TON of geometry all of a sudden…
Made of mahogany, oak and maple—thanks for looking!

Wow. That’s really nice.

Two questions:
Why?
Is the center empty?

Pretty cool, what’s it for? Christmas ornament maybe?

Wow, thanks, guys… (suffering from a bad case of hero-worship from hearing from two of my idols)—

The 9-pointed star is an unofficial symbol of the Baha’i Faith, symbolizing completeness and unity. This was just a trial… turned out to be surprisingly simpler than I expected and I’m on to one (or more) other, increasingly complex version(s).

Yes, the center is empty, only because I didn’t get any further in my design process. I guess that makes it easier to hang on the wall! It’s about 14 inches diameter and the points are pretty sharp.
