As many of you have seen I like to use Toys and Joys plans. Tracing these plans to create a template can sometimes be challenging. I made this box to make things a little easier. I put a led light fixture behind the glass to brighten things up. The template is sandwich between two pieces of glass to hold it in place and protect during the tracking process. The last picture with light on behind the template is not how it looks in person, the whole sheet is illuminated making tracing effortless. I added drawers to the bottom, as who can ever have to much storage. I also have a small led clip lamp that I use when I am just reviewing plans for measurements and part placement. Since the light fixture is designed to be hard wired, I cut off the end of an extension cord and wired it up. I use a remote switch to turn on and off, ( I have several of these remotes work great for shop vacs, light fixtures ect. Walmart around $10.00) All comments welcome…hope I triggered some ideas to help some of you fellow LJ.
