A lil marking gauge

Something I made after a few years of banging dents in my bench with gauges that would not get to JUST the space I wanted them. Then you bang it back a bit….oops..bit more. Lump this for a bad business, I dont have time for this s@$t. Unfortunately not my idea, just my version. Found this in Roger Smith’s PTMPIA years ago…of course I wanted one. It also needed to do hollows and rounds, its tip needed to be replaceable, I wanted it to please me visually.

If it pleases you, I will be glad to hear.

Really nice, and plenty of adjustments. Like the datails. it’s just my kind of tool.
Just bought a Veritas with the microadjuster, because I had the same feeling with the wooden ones, but at the end I I think it’s all a matter of what we are used to. I have seen old cabinetmakes adjust by micros with a pice of wood.
