A place to stash the supply of Pastor’s candy supplies, last picture shows a likely hiding place

Curly Maple and some Black Cherry, brass hardware. Box/finger joints were hand cut. Stanley 45 to make a few grooves. Hand planes to make a raised panel for the lid. 3 coats of BLO for the finish

Box is 6” tall by 12” wide, by 5” across the ends. Wood was 7/16” thick.

Thanks for looking in…I hope Pastor will like this…

I always love the handtool work you do. I wish everyone could understand what effort it takes to do it. Great job

Beautiful box, Bandit! You are way faster with hand tools than I am with tailed versions. Thanks for sharing.

Now that is just a great box Bandit … And to incorporate the had tools is a big plus for sure …
I think for my 2 cents I would have made the top a bit shallower, but that is just me.
And did you fill it with M&M’s before delivering it??
