This is one that I’m fairly happy with. I’m pretty critical of myself since I generally can pick out all the flaws in the projects in the house, but this one came out alright!

Mostly made from QSWO, I believe the finish is aniline dye. Unfortunately in my constant struggle to choose the right finish I might have missed the mark here. The color is right on what I was hoping for, but the dye kind of covered up all of the quartersawn figure. Topcoat was wipe on poly.

It is based on a bookcase I saw in FWW a few years ago (I think that one was a combo of maple and cherry). The shelves are adjustable via brass pins that are on the inside faces (next to the panel). The back is shiplapped Ash (I ran out of Oak).

In it’s current spot, it is the DVD / board game storage for our family.

Looks very nice.
You’ll have to fasten it to the wall in another 6 months when the little shaver starts to climb the front of it!

That looks great. It’s a nice size and I especially like the design of the top.

That bookcase is a real gem. I like the style and the color too. The medium size would work well in many rooms. This one is going to my favorites list!
