This is my latest project. I took several ideas from postings on the style. Used Beach for the dark wood and White Oak for the panels. Used the 40 # hinges from Rockler. I may upgrade to the 60# because the lid is heaver than expected. Lots of fun.

I just love the contrast between the light and dark. The figuring on the light panels is great. I love it.

Have you thought about piano hinges for future projects?

That’s a beauty. I like the subtlety of the curves. It adds a hint of softness to the design. The contrast in color between the two species is also a nice touch, lending some definition to the piece. Well done!

Very nicely done I have made several boxes in the past but none like this one, would you mind if I tried and might you have the plans.

That chest is wonderful. The flow is excellent. I am finalizing some plans for one similar. I may incorporate some of you ideas in mine if that is fine with you. Thank you for the pictures.
