My latest turning. I finished a walnut platter last night. 10” wide with a nice inclusion of sapwood. Very happy with the grain of this one. It came from a large crotch piece supplied by a woodcutter friend. Thanks Curtis.

Thanks for looking all.

Great job, the Sap wood really gives it visual interest. I love Walnut but this makes it pop. Well done

Very nice looking platter. The grain pattern looks like water flowing across the sand.

Beautiful shape. Even the simpliest projects look magnificant when made of walnut – real classic.

The dark color is great. I imagine that where these trees grow in abundance people burn it for firewood. In the North it is gold.

Really very eye catching. What did you use for your finish?
