These shutters were made for a customer. They are made out of cedar. The boards are joined together using loose tenons. The battens sit in a shallow dado and are screwed into the boards using SS screws (no glue). The shutters were finished using an oil based primer and an exterior latex from SW. The primer was sprayed and the paint was brushed on.
