Made out of soft white Maple and a figured Mahogany top.
It has Mahogany splines as well.
I hand carved the mouth shaped recesses used for lifting the lid giving this sharp lined box an organic edge. Its lined with black felt and finished with lacquer.

That looks really good. Looks like you have been bitten by the box bug.

Very nice box. The woods chosen complement each other well and the workmanship is excellent. Great job!

The figured Mahogany is awesome and a great compliment to the Curly Maple. Makes a beautiful combination.
