Here is the finished bookcase I made for my son. The finish is BLO and garnet shellac. I really enjoy working with shellac, it’s fairly easy to work with and goes on fast. Thanks for looking.

Good work. I just love a good bookcase! I dream of making enough bookcases to line my study and spill over into all the other rooms of the house. I’ll bet your son will take that bookcase with him when he leaves home.

Who says you have to spend hundreds on fine wood for a good looking piece of furniture?
That’s a great looking bookcase… I’m chewing on making one, and I think you just chose the material for me. Thanks, I owe you lunch on the money I save.
