this is a comission that i just finished up. i’m fairly pleased with this one. i built it in just 3 days. there wasn’t alot of room for profit on labor, so i wanted to turn it out quick. it’s a pretty simple design, but i think it looks good. the center is 1/4” tempered glass that sits flush with the top. the maple accents on the top are actually through-tenons from the legs. i cut the mortises with a router and did the tenons on my TS then rounded the corners by hand. the stretcher is is just screwed together and plugged with the opposite species.

the last picture is the bottom of the table, i wanted to show i sign my work. i know there was a forum post about signing pieces recently and i wanted to show my method. it’s a 2” annodized aluminum disc thats countersunk and urathane glued into place. i had them made by a family friend that owns a laser engraver. before i glue it, i use a punch set to add the date.

Nice table. Looks like a lot of work for only 3 days, great job. The glass sounds a bit thin though but I guess that depends on what the client plans on placing on it.

Great work for a “quick job”! I love the simplicity as it lets the wood speak for itself. The glass piece also makes it more open.

Great job!

Wow! A table in 3 days? You must have burned some midnight oil. Nice with the maple legs showing through the top.

Great looking table.
