Here’s a kitchen table and chairs that I made a couple of years ago. It’s made of painted poplar with a Formica top on the table. The big lump where the table legs join the column is a fiberglass shell
I have lots of pictures showing the construction of the table at http://www.ibab.org/table. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any of the chairs being built. I made most of the chair parts using a router, some templates, and a giant 1” radius roundover bit.
