My first go at sculpture but it’s becoming a bit of an addiction. I’m new here but I made a website to start posting stuff – both drawing and sculpture. matnelen.com Here is spalted maple with maple bow tie inlays on some cracks that formed. Carved xacto blades and a sander…. not exactly fine woodworking but I like the feel of a xacto blade.

I welded a steel inlay behind the jaw so it works.

That looks very good! I like the spalting there, nice choice.

So it works? .......So what does it do but scare the bejesus out of somebody.

Just the shot for waking up recuits in the middle of the night!!

It does look like some very skillful carving I might add!
Its worth adding a few more pictures too if you feel that way inclined.
A warm welcome also ….looks forward to more!!

Yep. I want all my things to be functional (at least in the sense that they do what they are supposed to)

Beautiful – but it’s even better as the Napoleon sculpture:

Very kind, thank you. That’s what I like about designing a reference sculpture, is then using it to say something. And if I make more of these, to sell and see what someone else might use it to say (outside just happy Halloween)
