I asked my daughter to search the web for what she wanted me to make her and she picked out this pattern. It was purchased off eBay from kbennett702. It intimidated me, but once I got started… it wasn’t so bad. Had to redraw some of it and improvise some pieces. She asked that I not use the suggested colors, but make it look like SPYRO (game character). People are amazed that no stain was used. In fact, I kept some of the scrapes to prove that the color runs throughout the wood: Purpleheart, Yellowheart, Padauk, Wenge, Aspen, and Walnut. My daughter LOVES it. 198 pieces and 26” x 21”... thanks for looking.

That is beyond incredible! I only wish that I had that kind of patience. How long did it take you to complete that?

That is stunning.
Another Guy in town does Intarsia so I’ve not attempted it, but after seeing this, I reckon that resolution is gone.
Thanks for showing.

Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Thanks for the compliments. It took about 30 hours, but less if I was to do it again.

That’s amazing. You should show that to Activision. That’s a great ode to Spyro.
