I recently took a turning class, and got hooked. So found a lathe on Craigslist and tried it out on a scrap of 4×4 Douglas Fir left over from adding on to our house. After an afternoon of trial and error, ended up with this little cup. I covered it in epoxy so I could drink both hot coffee, and whisky on the rocks from it.

Looks good, but be careful, heat like hot coffee will soften epoxy.

You did a nice job on this cup.
