I needed a new desk for my two kids but I also needed more storage. That’s why I designed this sliding desk. It gives enough space for the legs in front of the big storage boxes. the kids are loving it!
I used bamboo for the top and melamine for the drawers and boxes. I really like the bamboo look on this desk.
Initially I was going to use two or three sheets of birch plywood, but I found these bamboo counter tops at Rona and used that instead.

I got them at a discounted price 99$ CAD (regular was 150$) for each counter top (25.5” x 72” x 2.5”)
(99$ CAD is about 75$ US these days)
