My never ending journey to become a woodworker is highly influenced by people like Paul Sellers and Bob Cosman. So I wanted a place for sharpening chisels and blades of my planes by hand, which should always quickly be available. It’s just a scrap piece of particleboard and two blocks of wood screwed to my bench. Two small nuts act as stoppers to prevent the board from pulling out completely. Et voila, my strop and my sharpening plates have a place to live.

A great addition to your shop and good use of space. Very practical.

Thanks a lot to all of you! Yes, it’s a small, quick and dirty addition, but a great helper.

Have your say...
