LumberJocks make some extreme bandsaw boxes! (I’m never sure if “bandsaw” is one word or two). Well, after looking at a bunch of them, I searched for a really basic tutorial on how to make them. Nothing really suited to beginner until I found this series on LumberJoks. Finally, I figured it all out.
Well, I gotta tell you, they are super easy to make! If you have a bandsaw try it out. This is my third attempt and I’m pretty happy with the result. I’m sure my mom will like it for her birthday.
Most importantly, here is my video tutorial. From one garage woodworking hack, enjoy!

Agree with Jim, a good looking box.
Clue: To conceal the bandsaw entry make the bandsaw cut along the grain. This also makes the glueing, to close the entry, easier.

Jim, I am honored that you would use your 30473rd post on me! You know… my favorite steak sauce is named after you. Well, without the Jim part….

Steve, I followed the link that gave you inspiration, and the post led to a search on bandsaw boxes on lumberjocks and the the second result from the search was your video on how to make this box!
Such is the circle of life ;)
Great project and video,
David

Steve, Good job with keeping the curves fluid and not jerky. Looks like a thinner kerf blade might yield a closer fitting drawer, but overall, a good and entertaining video. I am still impressed with your video compositions. Makes me want to make one myself.
