My niece graduated High School and she wanted her Uncle to make a hope chest. I used the plans from Jay Bates half lap hope chest for the frame using 2×4’s and half laps. It is VERY sturdy. I covered it with 3/4” plywood and the top is 2×4’s also distressed to look like barn wood. Thanks for taken’ a look.
