Bedside tables

We had very limited space on the sides of our king size bed and I had absolutely no luck finding the style and size of a table I was looking for. So I put some thought into it, came up with a plan in my head and they turned out exactly as I saw then in my head. These were the second real pieces that I built and I’ve had lots of requests from people that see them, so I’m wondering if I should build these in numbers and sell them! I used Poplar wood and painted these to match our black bedframe. Like the bookshelf, I dressed them up with some molding (ebony stain on the molding) and three coats of Poly.

I made some table really close and found a local market for them in the black color. There is some design theme going around for black accent tables like those. Scuffed / distressed wear edges are really popular also.

Now I am getting orders for them in different colors. Usually for kids rooms, enclosed patio, mudrooms and the like. Not very much margin, but cash flow.
