This is a repost because i FINALLY got the photo of Eliav enjoying his chair:
The idea of doing this chair is indebted to this blog post (where the plans are available). Scaling it to half-size seemed a bit small, so i made it 2/3 size. I think the most time consuming thing was shaving down the dowels. For some weird reason, the drill-bit sizes don’t correspond with the dowel sizes! Anyway, I was impressed at how strong the Rietveld joint is. Still, i hope it doesn’t break!

Dank u wel, houtje. Jij bent erg (heel?) vriendelijk!

Thank you. That is so kind of you!
I think i said—that is friendly of you.
jammer dat ik kan spreek niet!

Thank you, Mafe.

Trevor, well said. I haven’t made many things for adults, but there is something very special and satisfying indeed about making a piece that excites a child.

Hello Naomi, I seen your recent post about the Festool. I did not respond as I have never owned one nor have any experience with the track saw type of saw. I just found it interesting to see you live in Jerusalem. I have never been there but I lived not far from Jerusalem back in my younger days when I was able to do a fair amount of travel around the world. I lived in Aqaba, Jordan for a short time but was able to travel the area and see a lot. I do miss those days when I was able to travel and experience many other cultures world wide. I last traveled in 1998, so it has been a while. Now I am married with 2 little girls and have made Texas our long term home.
