Unfinished Tree Mirror

Project by Blake posted 762 days ago 446 views 0 times favorited 7 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This project was my first attempt at using a scroll saw. I intend to put a frame around it and turn it into a mirror. That way the reflected light would shine though the branches. I will post finished pictures when I get around to finishing it.

It kind of looks like the lone cypress tree over by Monterey. What was your inspiration?

Yea, I just love those old trees. Besides, Monterey is only 45 minutes away from me.

Cutting this with the endgrain really enhances it. Good job.

This project is sort of on the back burner for now. I’ve got school finals, fire dept. hiring tests and holiday gifts to attend to. I’ll let you know when it becomes a mirror.
