I bought this hand plane 7 years ago in order to work while renovating the flat I was living in. I had very little money at the time and paid 2 Euros for it and an old worn down oil stone. I probably had about enough money left to eat that day. I sharpened the blade as best as I could and used it for everything :) I have loved this plane, but never got around to restoring it until today. It has an Ash body and plastic handles that have always been lose. I cleaned it up, flattened the sole, resharpened the blade, oiled the body and fixed the handles. It is still my favourite plane today. over all the other planes I now own, it is the one I enjoy using mostly and it works so beautifully. Maybe my hands have molded to it over these past few years, anyhow it has never let me down and deserves looking after with due care and attention for as long as I am able to use it :)

Great to see these old hand tools being given some TLC and still being used.

Hi Peter :) Thank you, I love using them. I recently had a moment of madness or fantasy that I would like to own a modern high end plane, but after a little work on these the fantasy has evaporated :D They do everything I need :)

This is a very nice and interesting plane. You did a nice job on restoring it.
