On the way to old furniture stores looking for a chest of drawers we could revitalize for the new granddaughter we came across an abandon chest on the roadside. Examining it we found it was repairable. With some glue, sanding, paint and hardware from our old hardware box we re-purposed this chest for a child’s room.

Great job, and great way to salvage a useful item. In this age of Pinterest and you tube videos it amazes me what some people will throw away. But as the old saying goes “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Thanks for posting.

That really looks GREAT…......brand new with some real sentimental value. Hoping you and your granddaughter have many, many years together with her new furniture!!

Very clever use of multi-color and design of the drawers. Ads interest and uniqueness to an otherwise plain blue painted rehab project. Very impressive. It really pays to think outside the box.

Excellent, you can’t buy something like that in a store!!!
