"Second time around" Bandsaw Box

I wanted to try something different with this bandsaw box after I did one I called the flame. I wanted to see if I could have the top of the box cross (one side behind the other). Think about laying that on the bandsaw and cutting it out LOL. I finished this box last fall and actually took it to the Lumberjock picnic in HighPoint, NC and a few of our fellow LJ’s got to see it, but after I brought it home and it set on the shelf for a couple months, I decided it needed more work. (Even though it was finished and all the drawers were flocked!) off to the shop I went, got out my trusty grinder and started some free hand shaping on the outside. I wanted to give it a little more flow. It’s approx. 6” wide x 16” tall, walnut with a lacquer finish.

Huff, beautiful box! I can tell the rest of you LJ’s that the pictures don’t do it justice, as I have seen this in person and it is really something! Thanks Huff for all your help with my boxes, especially the nice exotic hardwood boards you gave me.

Very nice work. I agreed with Tim the images do not appear to do justice to this work, it seems there is more flow to see?

Outstanding work. It is difficult to tell from the photos where the drawers are but I know it must be good. Please for more photos.
