I made this Cherry 2’x2’ four player Aggravation Game Board for a neighbor/friend. He asked for two boards a 4 player and a 6 player game board. I had to make a template for both board and Zachary our neighbor came over to help with the drilling of all the holes in the template.

I’ll post the 6 player board in another post when It’s finished.

The finish has two coats of sanding sealer and 4 coats of lacquer, hand buffed with rotten stone dust mixed with Mineral oil. The dimples for the marble were made with a plunge router using a 3/4” bull nose bit.

The painting with all the colors and lines was done by Zachary and his wife Patricia . They did a great job on getting the paint in all those little dimples!

Link to my round game board.

Looking forward to your comments!

Looks like it turned out great Tony. Aggravation, a perfect name for it if I had to draw those lines. Your neighbor and his wife did a great job with it.
Remind me some day to ask you what the heck rotten stone dust is. LOL.

Thank you, bambi, Monte, Jim, and Dave,

Dave, I took a picture to show you what Rottenstone is…. and also use pumice. Hope the print is not too small to read.
This may help…

Oh My. I made several of these 4 person boards many years ago and have spent numerous hours playing this game with kids and family members. Mine was a different base but these are beautiful. Gives me motivation to make a new board for an upcoming family gathering. Thanks Tony. We need to make a connection one of these days.

That is a great looking board Tony but you used a different lay out then the one I made 48 years ago .
We all still enjoy the game a lot and our Grandkids are always game for a couple rounds it seems to be a timeless game which surprises me .I notice no dice what do you use ?

Thank you Bob, Dr Ken and Kiefer.

Wow! 48 years ago! Kiefer, Believe it or not I have never heard of this game until my neighbor ask me to make him this board game. I looked it up in a Google search and found many different versions of this game. But I just let Zachary my neighbor dictate how the marble layout was going to be. He told me he uses a deck of cards to play this game. Maybe someday I’ll have to sit still long enough to play one day.

Dr Ken… Hopefully we can meet up someday! Don’t make a game board until you see my Round 6 player game board. I think you’ll like it better than this one posted here. My neighbor Zachary and his wife are doing the paint job on it now. Should be ready soon!
