After realizing how many chips and the force this thing flings them at I needed a place to collect them. My 2’x2’ bench wasn’t gonna suffice. So I found a similar version of this here on LJ. Thanks for the idea!

So I built it different though as I beef stuff up and I come from a rough framing background. I framed it up, 23/32” pine plywood on the bottom with 4” locking casters. Boxed in with more 23/32” pine plywood for the bottom shelf. Top is reinforced with 2×4’s at the mount points. Each face is framed in for the doors. Doors are two 23/32” glued and screwed together. Front door has a frame for a 14×20x1” filter.

The outfeed table is rounded to assist in feeding. In testing I had a long board get stuck due to the downward force.

Blower is 4” flex into a bucket. That doesn’t collect well due to the jet engine blower…

Nice cabinet, very beefy as you have said but hey it is built to last.

This is a nice infeed outfeed bench and it will make the planer more efficient.

Originally I was gonna just put this on a 2×2’ table with a separate out feed table but after looking around and all I realized I needed something built into the table. Seems to work well so far.
