Farmhouse bed

I needed a bed pretty bad for my spare room…an aging mother-in-law, and visiting granchildren…the floor only works for the kids so long…
Someone here a LJ’s posted a link to Knock-off Wood…I browsed their site awhile and decided to make a version of her Farmhouse bed. (thanks Ana!)
I made a few minor modifications…like the frame was hung with joists instead of screwed in…the headboard and footboard also modified slightly to give more of a wainscot look.
It took me about 4 hours…then a day later I decided to make a storage bench to go with it. ( I’ll make a cushion for it this week.)
This was such an easy project, but have to say I am very happy with the results. The room is really quite cozy…next a matching armoir.
This is nowhere near the caliber of work some of you post…I am happy to work my way up and drool over yours while I keep at it…
thanks for looking!
