Hi,

I had a request for a small table with a little color. The top was a piece of Birdseye in the discount bin at Home Depot. Cost 15.00 for the top and aprons.

It came out pretty funky and different with the purpleheart.

Nice looking table. Birdseye is beautiful and the purple gives it pop. Did you mortise? Thanks for sharing.

This is a very attractive table and the wood is beautiful.

Nice job on this table—it has nice proportions. I know Birdseye can be difficult to work with—it seems as though my planer just rips out the little Birdseye figure whenever I plane it.

Congrats on the figured wood find at HD. I recently found a piece of curly maple in with the other boards at HD and felt like I had won the lotto! They even asked me at the register if I was sure I found it in the regular lumber.

Have your say...
