This is just a simple child’s adirondack chair that I built by modifying the Adirondack furniture plan from http://www.plansnow.com. I decreased all dimensions on the originial plan by 25%, and hoped that the size would be right. The third picture has my two month old son (with his mom hiding behind the chair), and I think that the chair is about the right size for a child. The chair will be painted, but I still used treated decking material because it was what the big box store had. There is not complicated joinery, it is just screwed together with stainless steel wood screws and glued with construction adhesive. The plans called for construction adhesive, but I was wondering if Titebond III would also have worked for an outdoor application. I made hardboard templates for all pieces so that I can quickly make more for family member.
I was wondering if stainless steel screws were necessary, or would decking screws also work?
Thanks for looking, and any comments/ suggestions are welcome.
