Well the results are in.
It turns out that jeeps are not very aerodynamic.
We ran 6 heats and came in last 5 of them we came in 2nd to last on the 6th race.
My boy Cash was a really good sport about it though. He said it was still the coolest car there even if it was the slowest. Every kid and every parent had to come and look and touch it.
He did get the award for Most Realistic.
Cash also advanced from Bear to Webelo and received his new neckercheif that night.

That’s beautiful. I’m glad to see the Scouts including awards for craftsmanship.

Nice derby car. Yup, i never really competed for the races. Tried to go for style over practicality.

I use to take my scroll saw to scouts to help the boys who didnt have dads or they would not help . Its a great father and son project. You guys did a great job with the jeep looks real. the time you spend together working on it make you the winners good job
