This was my first project more than 20 years ago, did a little wood working for awhile then life got in the way. I was able to slow down and get back into it and build a new shop, looking forward to many new first projects. The wood is Walnut and Ash, I made it for, some pewter and bronze chess pieces I bought in 1975, of the characters from the “Hobbit”. Never new back then how popular they would become.
Chess pieces added.

A great piece!
And do you still have the chess pieces?

Nice board. I’ll bet it will last for many chess games!

A very nice pc. I just completed two boards that were designed by David Marks. I put them in a game room we made inour facility dedicated to a co-worker killed recently. Nice job!
