This piece was designed in two halves and then pieced back together with a quarterinch gap in between. This allows the light source to shine through. The inside is painted with a yellow paint to give a brighter light, and the edges of the buildings are painted black to allow the negative space. The bulb is attached to a plate on the bottom with is detachable from the top half. They stay attached because of the grooves that i carved in the plate to keep it fitting snug.
