Hi, just completed this Desk in Ripple Sycamore ( similar to Tiger maple) Its hard to show the 3d effect of the wood, trust me its fab! Knobs are Ebony, Drawer bottoms Veneered Walnut MDF. Its not in its home yet, this was just some quick snaps to post. Did a Work in progress picture library but too many to upload here…..
Thanks for looking and commenting ;)

Nice desk. I’m thinking of making one for my office, and I wanted it to look something like this. Would be interested in seeing the work in progress pics.

Lots of interesting features here. I especially like the rounded drawers and the leg details. I have not seen ripple sycamore before – very nice!

I wish you hadn’t posted this. I had a 65 ft. sycamore cut down and hauled away!!!!! Not sure if it was like what you have. This was before I started woodworking.

I’ve not tried sycamore yet but hope to find a deal on some someday. I thought the walnut drawer bottoms were a nice touch.

Very beautiful wood. I especially like the legs. The taper gives the appearance of a very strong table, but the curved cutout near the skirt adds a lot of style. Awesome woodworking.
-- I've never seen a tree that I wouldn't like to repurpose into a project. I love the smell of wood in the morning - it smells like victory.

Wow that’s some beautiful wood you have there. I’m really impressed with your design and attention to detail… that makes all the difference! I’m gonna have to try a leg treatment like that… thanks for sharing.
