Can’t let a fallen limb end up in the fireplace. Our Woodbuddies Shop R-tist team member enjoys finishing / painting. The 1.5” diameter limb fell off a tree beside the shop and now multiple 3/8” thick sections have become items of hanging art for the kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews.

The face is left rough for appearance then painted. Holes are drilled for a hook or ribbon.

The seashell is real from a journey to the beach. That was a hole drilling challenge in itself.

Man O Man, I gotta tell ya Doc, that is the coolest use for the fallen limb that I can think of.
The pictures are great and the thought that they can be around in 100 years as a reminder of a fun time is really nice.
Good work brother.
(And I have to admit that I peeked at your shop and I’m pretty jealous.)
