I’m using up some scraps and making useful items. The first is a sled for resawing log slabs. I hand planed a log half, then ran it through the planer to get the faces parallel. Double sided tape holds it to the sled. I’m happy.

The next sled is for bandsawing round pieces. I like them held tight, they can jump around on you.Works for me.

And some handles on my drill press chuck. I’m really liking this.

Nothing but scraps and glue.

I can see why you’d like the handle extension on the chuck key. Never thought of that, but I will be stealing the idea later today.

I really like the chuck key tip…I put vacuum hose on mine for user comfort , but never thought about using wood to extend them…..great idea ,hairy : ) Regarding the dbl. stick tape , how dry is the wood you’re sawing?
I also like your hold down sled for the round stock .Thanks for posting them !

Thanks for the comments.

That’s a catalpa log, it was cut and split almost 2 years ago.
