Remnants from the scrap bin can make good spindle-turning practice!

Sven (on the left) is about 5-inches tall … his spear is about 6-1/2-inches long. Olie (on the right) is about 4-inches tall. The spear and ax handle, are 1/8-inch hand-turned spindles. Tenons for the arms, nose, etc. are all 1/8-inch.

Hey they’re great. I used to draw figures just like this in my notebooks during class when I should have been taking notes LOL Fun project Gerry.

My wife found some fake fur material at a local fabric shop. Doesn’t take much … each one only took a strip a half inch wide and 2 inches long.

All right, Gerry! You sure are a creative soul and I just love these little guys. The are very cute and are real eye catchers. Everyone will want to pick them up and take a closer look. These are a great project.

They look like trouble makers to me but would be a great compliment to the shop. Some nice turning and imagination.
