A First Finial

I’ve never done any sort of decorative turning, so I thought I’d try my hand at making an ornate finial today. I didn’t plan anything out, and just turned whatever came to mind.
It is hard maple with a linseed oil/shellac blend finish, and is 3” tall.

Nice work, my mentor had me do some of these and I didn’t ruin any of them. I’m sure I will lol.
