I just finished the “Three Space Bud Vase” from Wood magazine (July 2012). This was an interesting project. I ordered enough glass bud tubes to make two of these. When I got them, they were not an exact size. This is a lesson I learned early in woodworking, Get all your parts 1st before you start cutting wood, as I did. Then I had a hard time finding Spalted Maple. I found a place online to order this. During the project, I thought of things that I think will make easier the construction of a 2nd one. It’s good to make notes as you go along. Anyway, I think it came out very nice, my wife loves it, and the flowers I gave her myself, from our garden.
