This is my first attempt at what I call a segmented flower vase though none of it was done on a lathe. I am really not sure what you would call the method I used for making it. It is an original design that i drew up in class one day and it was definitely a challenge to create. It is made of purple heart, mahogany, curly maple, and paduke.

Thanks for the input, its 7” tall and the cylinder diameter is 1 3/4”
