New life for old toy box

This is my old toy box from when I was kid in the mid 70s. I sanded and stained and replaced the old rope handles with new rope. Now my daughter uses it for her toys. I love being able to hand down things to next generation. I feel that we have lost this tradition with all the buy, buy, buy, and throw it away when it breaks.

Very nice that you kept it and have now passed it down. Who built it for you?

Maybe you should build her a new one and start a family tradition.

Well, daughter number two will be here in just under 2 months. Maybe I will make her one.

Nice save.

I d agree with the others about building a new one too.

My avatar is actually a toy box, just for another idea.
The steering wheel turns, the wheels roll-(It sets on a base though; because the wheel are not really strong enough for TOUGH play!)- But it can be rolled around on them. The seat even has storage under it as well as storage under the “no-hood” . The winch works for the nightly gathering too.

You did a fine job on refurbishing this toy box. You have put a whole new life into it.
