Well, I really got into woodworking this year after finishing all of the house projects. This was a request from my Mother for her birthday present. I used a Dremel with a router base attachment to freehand the purple heart inlays.

Thank you very much. The inlays are probably around 1/8” to 1/4” deep. My inlay pieces weren’t all the same thickness as I’m new to my 10” bandsaw (a freebie from Craigslist). So, I adjusted the depth for each piece and took my random-orbital sander and card scraper to the inlay to make it flush.

cute!!! I am in the process of finishing a Butterfly Child’s swing for our swingset…i like the inlay—-mine is much simpler…
