Just finished this clock for my Moms Birthday. I have been wanting to build a clock for sometime but wasn’t sure of what I wanted it to look like. While searching for clock ideas on LJ I came across these two clocks from Rodneyh. Instantly knew this was what I wanted to do. I hope Rodney will accept my attempt as a true compliment to his work. On a side note all of the wood for the clock came from the barn in the picture. I was told the barn was built in the 1870’s so I am guessing the wood is about 200 years old. Please feel free to provide suggestions or constructive criticisms, always looking to improve.

Just to clarify, only the clock with the hummingbird is mine. The other 2 clocks are from another lumberjack.

Nice clock Mike!

Where did you source the tile?

That barn wood will produce quite a few “rustic” pieces, hopefully it stays safe.

Thank you. I got the tile from artsandcrafrsmen.com. Great selection of tiles. As far as the wood, I was only able to get a few pieces, everything else was already spoken for. I do have a little left may possibly do another clock with ir.

Well done. I’ve been to the Motawi and Pewabic stores and amazed at the tiles. It gets to be overwhelming on the choices available.

That’s a great looking A&C clock—I’m sure your mom will just love it!
