Reuse, recycle

Someone tossed out a ratty old fence plank in the alley behind my house. I picked it up on the way to my workshop and my GF asked why. I said I was going recycle it into something useful. She looked at me, looked at the board and said that she would like to see that. So I gave it a quick and simple facelift.

On a serious note. We all need to conserve the resources we have. Especially wood. Reuse, Recycle.

It does’t exactly grow on trees ya know! (sorry, could’t resist 8^)

You did great stuff with that board. I find many useful pieces of wood from discarded furniture and odd items from the firewood pile. Pallets are also a perennial favorite.

This hobby can be quite affordable with some ingenuity and scrappy attitude.

Quite greeny weeny of you. I aint got time to cry about a wasted fence board.
Build cool stuff and leave it at that. I’m going home and throw fence boards away for the fun of it.

Very well done.

I do really like to re-use. I have even been known to remove decent screws and reuse them too.

Some of the old fence cedar is really very nice wood under the grime.
