An assortment of trays and bowls. The Pine tray is made of re-claimed pine that I salvaged from an old lumber yard’s storage racks. They were rough-cut 2×6 harvested from the Pine forest on the Island of Abaco about 50 years ago. Very hard and tight grained virgin growth. The pine smell that wafted from them when they were cut was awesome!

These look great. I like the single dish and bowl combo. The possibilities seem endless.

Those are very nice Michael. Is the dark wood walnut ? I made my first visit to Nassau 2 months ago, what a beautiful place. Do you have trouble finding the various species of hard wood. Even when I’m on vacation, all I think about is woodworking, well almost.

Dale, yes the really dark wood is Walnut. Other woods are Mahogany, some Purple Heart accents, Maple and the Abaco Pine I wrote about. Glad you enjoyed the Bahamas! Hardwood and good tools are hard to find here. I mail order small quantities of accent hardwoods but one lumberyard here has Mahogany and Maple at pretty good prices. I also have to mail order lots of shop supplies, hardware and tools from Rockler, Highland Woodworking etc.
