Three years ago, the power company took down a red oak tree in my front yard that was interfering with the power lines. I had them leave the tree in my yard and I brought it to a nearby sawmill to be cut into lumber. This is my first project with that tree. It’s finished with a combination of wipe on poly for the carcass and brush on poly for the top. My next project will be a TV stand.

That is really great looking. The finish is real nice as well.

Nice, what is the thickness of the side panels? All solid oak right?

The side panels (and back panel) are 1/4” red oak plywood.
